Process
How a no-shutdown job runs
- 01
Site Survey & Review
We verify pipe material, diameter, operating pressure and burial condition, then fix the work method and equipment specification.
- 02
Fitting Welding & Valve Mounting
A split tee or branch fitting is welded onto the live main and a gate or ball valve is mounted.
- 03
Hot Tapping
The tapping machine is coupled above the valve, the live main is drilled and the coupon is retrieved.
- 04
Line Stopping & By-pass
The stopping head isolates the flow and, where required, a by-pass keeps supply running while the isolated section is worked on.
- 05
Plugging & Completion
The stopping head is withdrawn, the branch is permanently plugged and the joint is leak-tested before hand-over.
